The challenge
After many rounds of technology deployments, this school’s data closets needed to be reorganized. That kind of work carries risk: a cable moved to the wrong port can take a classroom, an office, or a building offline.
The school has a full-time IT administrator, making it one of navitend’s co-managed clients, so every step had to be planned and carried out in collaboration with the school’s own team.

navitend safely mapped the network first, so we knew exactly what every connection served before anything moved. Working with the school’s IT administrator, we then reorganized the data closets.
The result
The data closets are now clearly labeled, and older equipment is no longer lingering in them.
