The challenge
Every completed course needed a certificate, and making one was a manual routine: copy a file, rename it, open the PowerPoint template, type in the student’s name and course details, then print it to PDF. Repeated for each student, it took several minutes a certificate, and every retyped name and date was a chance for a mistake.
navitend’s role
navitend applied our Workflow Analysis Process: we mapped how certificates were actually being produced, step by step, and identified which steps could be removed and which could be automated. We then built tools that take the course and student details and produce the finished certificate, with no copying, renaming, or retyping.
The result
Creating a certificate now takes about 30 seconds, compared with several minutes each before, and the errors that came from retyping names and details are gone.
