We’re Hiring IT Help Desk Technician

navitend is a Managed Services Provider (MSP) located in Northwestern New Jersey.  We are seeking an individual who has a desire to work in the “Computer/Technology Industry” as a helpdesk specialist.  This opportunity starts out as an hourly opportunity where you can grow into a salaried, full-time position on our team.  We provide both onsite and remote support to our clients in the greater NJ/NY/PA Metro Areas.  We support our clients’ desktops, servers, networks infrastructures, mobile devices, portable devices, e-mail systems, hosted cloud applications, desktop and server applications and VOIP phone systems.

- Ability to have technical conversations with non-technical people.

- Ability to have an uncomfortable conversation with a client

Should know what the following are and how they work on a network: 
- DNS

- DHCP

- Gateway/Router - Familiarity with Windows OS 


Not required but helpful: 

- Any Industry Certification such as

  • *CompTIA A+ Certification
  • *CompTIA Network+ Certification
  • *CompTIA Security+ Certification
  • *Etc.

 

- Perusing a degree in Information Technology

- Have a troubleshooting methodology 


Job Specifics: 
- Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00 (Flexible hours as needed if the ideal candidate is still in school)

- On-Call 24/7 rotation every 4-5 weeks (Once moved to the full-time salaried position)

- Business casual (no sweatpants!)

- Paid time off (Once moved to the full-timed salaried position)

- Need valid driver license (clean driving history) and reliable transportation
