There are really only four items you need to consider when evaluating whether your current MSP is getting the job done. If you answer these four questions to your satisfaction, you know you're OK with your current situation. If not, consider giving navitend a call.
Identifying a Managed Service Provider
To find the right managed service provider for your brand, ask yourself these key questions.
Question #1. Are you getting trustworthy advice and counsel from your MSP? Do you trust the recommendations from your MSP? Have the recommendations that have made in the past turned out to be effective for you?
Question #2. When you have a need for service, is the Response Time of your MSP meeting your satisfaction? Do you get to speak to someone live 24 hours a day? How quickly is your service request being responded to? This should be measured in minutes, not days.
Question #3. IT problems vary in complexity -- sometimes a request can be satisfied in minutes, other times it may take a few days or longer if a request involves multiple parties such as third-party software vendors. There is no magic number here, but shorter is better. Are you satisfied with the "Resolution Time" of your typical IT request?
Question #4. Are you paying a reasonable amount for your service? IT service pricing varies by company, service level, geography, type of service and many other things. Value can be thought of as Benefit divided by Cost. In general, do you feel that you are getting value from your MSP?
